2 Seas Motorsport combines with Sky Tempesta Racing for second entry at British GT opener
With the new season fast approaching, 2 Seas Motorsport has confirmed a second entry for the opening round of the 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship at Oulton Park. The Anglo-Bahraini team is returning to the series after a year away, and this further entry will combine efforts with the Sky Tempesta Racing team, driven by Chris Froggatt and Kevin Tse.
Chris and Kevin join the team for the season opener at Oulton Park over the Easter weekend looking for a strong result. Both drivers have been racing in GT3 competition across Europe in recent seasons, but this announcement sees them paired up for the first time.
Kevin will be in a familiar environment as he makes a return to the Cheshire-circuit where he claimed victory in the series last year, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3. Meanwhile, Chris joins the British GT grid for the first time but the multi-championship winning 28-year-old Brit brings significant GT3 experience to the line-up, taking the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Pro-Am title in 2020, followed by the Endurance Pro-Am title last season with Sky Tempesta Racing. For 2022, Chris returns to European competition with Sky Tempesta Racing, and the team’s operations will now combine with 2 Seas Motorsport to support track activities over the British GT weekend.
“I am very excited to be joining Kevin at Oulton Park for the first round of British GT. Kevin did an amazing job there last year and hoping I will be able to do my job as his teammate to facilitate a good result. I am confident that the Sky Tempesta car, run this weekend by 2 Seas Motorsport will be ultra-competitive throughout the weekend, so it will be up to us to perform”
Chris Froggatt, #93 Mercedes-AMG GT3, 2 Seas Motorsport.
“The pairing of Chris and Kevin is an exciting one to confirm for our return to the British GT grid, alongside James and Lewis. Kevin knows what it takes to win at Oulton Park having enjoyed previous success last year and he knows the car well, while Chris is a proven title winner in both sprint and endurance events, in arguably the most competitive GT3 series. Together, they are a force to be reckoned with and, along with the sister car, we will be pushing to start the season off in the best way possible.”

The 2022 season has seen 2 Seas Motorsport continuing the winning ways from last season, with victory at the Gulf 12 Hours event in Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi. The team retained the title for a second year after a season which saw victories at each event contested, including a successful one-off British GT outing, winning the Silverstone 500.
Round 1 of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship takes place at Oulton Park circuit over the Easter bank holiday weekend. Qualifying will be run on Saturday afternoon with the two 1-hour races taking place on Easter Monday.
